I compiled some statistics for Hold'Em hands based on more accurate ranges of hands I'd expect people to play in tournaments, and found some interesting correlations that contradicted a few ideas I had about certain marginal hands. You wouldn't care, but it's an adjustment I certainly needed, and I have created a 3rd version of my starting hand charts that I think is more accurate and will leave me playing more disciplined poker.

I tried writing out starting hand requirements to post as a public piece, but what I have so far would make someone's head explode. Should I finish the draft, it needs serious distillation and reorganization.

I wrote two more articles for Helium to run my total library to 23 articles (and obviously counting). After writing one or two articles when I first signed up around 9/20, I've pounded out articles like whoa and I'm starting to see a trickle of ad revenue. Who knows how far it can go if I continue writing good pieces? And many of the pieces I've written are head and shoulders above most of the other subject matter. Funny how much using correct spelling/punctuation, centering pieces and paragraphs around main ideas, and paragraph breaks does for your work. Many would do themselves well to learn this.

That is all for now. I'm flying to Vegas in 3 days. My mother's trying to sell me on playing the MGM tourney. Sampling it on the simulator, the format is a bit fast but workable. I just need to not spew off my chips in the middle levels once I build a stack. The $80 tourney averages about 60 people, pays 6 places and first place pays about $1300.
